A workshop titled “A Beginner’s Guide to LinkedIn,” organized by the Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with Cargills Ceylon PLC, was held on the 16^th of October 2024, at the CGU Auditorium, University of Kelaniya.

The main objective of the workshop was to equip undergraduates with the skills needed to create and maintain an effective and engaging LinkedIn profile, essential for their future career development.

Over 70 registered undergraduates from the University of Kelaniya participated in the two-hour session, which was led by Mr. Chandana Kelegama, Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations at Cargills Ceylon PLC, and Ms. Dilshani Ranasooriya, Manager of People & Culture. 

Present at the event were Senior Professor Dilkushi Wettewe, Director of the Career Guidance Unit, along with representatives from Cargills Ceylon PLC, including Ms. Dilini Rathnasena, Management Trainee and Mr. Adithya Ramesh, a member of the Marketing Team. Mr. K. A. M. Viraj Abeysinghe and Mrs. R. P. A. Minoon Perera, Career Counsellors of the University of Kelaniya, also participated.
