Prof. Rabia Bayindir from the Department of Education Sciences, Faculty of Education, Akdeniz University, Turkey, visited the University of Kelaniya under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching programme. Her mobility period was from 1st to 12th September 2025.

Prof. Bayindir paid a courtesy call on Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya on 10th September at the Vice-Chancellor’s office, where she shared her experiences in Sri Lanka and her engagement with Erasmus programmes.

Prof. Bayindir has been actively involved in numerous initiatives under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme and Erasmus+ Programmes since 2007. She has also served as an EU Project Advisor for 17 years in various organizations.

Dr. Samanthi Jayawardena, Director, and Ms. Rasangi Gamage, Coordinator of the Centre for International Affairs, were also present at the meeting.
