The Staff Development Centre (SDC) of the University of Kelaniya successfully conducted a workshop on “Workplace Transformation with Artificial Intelligence” for Executive Officers of the University on the 7th of November 2025 at the SDC Auditorium.

The workshop was organized under the guidance of Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, and Mr. Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar of the University, recognizing the importance of Artificial Intelligence as an essential area of learning to enhance efficiency in day-to-day administrative work.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar of the University of Kelaniya, and Prof. Ravi Dissanayake, Director of the Staff Development Centre, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of continuous professional development among university administrative staff.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Dilan Perera, a seasoned ICT professional with over 15 years of experience in leading organizations such as ICTA, WSO2, and Actxa (Singapore). He brings extensive expertise in Blockchain, mobile applications, software architecture, and Generative AI.

The workshop was attended by the Executive Officers of the University and the staff members of the SDC.
