A delegation from the Linyi University, China visited the University of Kelaniya on 5^th December 2025.  The delegation included Prof. Zhuang Bo, Vice President of the university; Prof. Zhao Jinxia, Dean, School of Education; Prof. Wei Xiuchun, Dean, School of History and Culture; Mr. Sun Tao – Yiushi Campus, Party Secretary; and Ms. Wang Xiaoyan, Section Chief, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Linyi University is a state-run university situated in the Shandon province of China.

The delegation met with Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya at the Vice-Chancellor’s office, and discussed avenues for cooperation between the two institutes such as Tourism management, Logistics, Psychology and Education.

The visit was coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs. Dr. Samanthi Jayawardena, Director and Ms. Rasangi Gamage, Coordinator were present at the meeting.
