A Team from Tallinn University, Estonia, on Erasmus+ staff mobility, meets the Vice-Chancellor

Prof. Merylin Meristo, Prof. Maris Saagpakk, and Ms. Siiri Soidro from the School of Humanities, University of Tallinn, Estonia completed their Staff Mobility for Teaching and Training, within the framework of Erasmus+ Mobility Agreements, from 12th January to 14th January 2026 at University of Kelaniya.

They paid a curtesy visit to Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, on 14th January 2026 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. They discussed their teaching and training experiences and future collaborations between the two institutes, with the Vice-Chancellor. Director, Centre for International Affairs, Dr. Samanthi Jayawardena and Coordinator, Ms. Rasangi Gamage were also present at meeting.

Prof. Meristo and Prof. Saagpakk were hosted by the Department of Modern Languages, Faculty of Humanities. They conducted guest lectures for BA, and BA Hons. students in French and in German and conducted discussions with the academic staff members. The Mobility Training of Ms. Soidoro, Head of Studies, School of Humanities was coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs.
