MoU Signed between Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya and Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC

The Department of Marketing Management (DMM), University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka signed an MoU with Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC on 9th March 2022.

 Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC comes on board as a Strategic Partner for Bachelor of Business Management (Hons) in Marketing Degree, Bachelor of Business Management (Hons) in Digital Marketing Degree including specific title named Certified Professional Marketing Graduate (CPMG) offered by the DMM. Subsequently, the MoU will enable the strategic partner to share industry expertise and knowledge among the undergraduates and provide hands-on experience by offering skill development opportunities including internships.

Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya and Mr. Roshan Tissaaratchy, Director of Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations. Mr. Roshan Tissaaratchy during his speech highlighted that it was the first time that Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC partnered up with a state university in Sri Lanka. Further, Mr. Tissaaratchy mentioned that being one of the most globally out reached brands, Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC is willing to contribute in creating competent, capable, and confident graduates by offering various skills development programmes for the undergraduates.

Dr. Narada Fernando, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. Ravi Dissanayake, Head of the Department of Marketing Management, Mr. Gayan Thilakarathne, Head of Human Resources of  Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC, other faculty members, representatives from Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company PLC and the undergraduates of the Department of Marketing Management graced the occasion.
