Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers in the University of Kelaniya was held on the 23^rd of June 2022 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. P.A.D.H.N. Gunathilaka, Department of Parasitology, and Dr. M.B.K.C.Dayasiri, Department of Paediatrics are awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.

Senior Prof. Bimali Jayawardena, Department of Chemistry, Prof. R. N. Attanayake, Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Prof. C. S. K. Rajapaksha, Department of Chemistry, Prof. W. A. R. T. W. Bandara, Department of Zoology and Environment Management, Dr. W. M. A. P. Halmillawewa, Department of Microbiology, Dr. H. M. Herath, Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Ms. Prameesha Perera, Department of Plant and Molecular Biology are the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Mrs. B. C. P. Jayarathna, Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management was also awarded at the Senate Awards.
