An MoU was signed between the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh on 17th November 2022 at the Senate room of the University of Kelaniya.

The Department of Commerce and Financial Management of the University of Kelaniya and the Department of International Business of the University of Dhaka initiated the MoU to strengthen the teaching and research collaborations between the two departments.

Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Dr. Narada Fernando, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Dr. M. M. M. Shamil, Head of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Dr. Suborna Barua, Associate Professor of the University of Dhaka, Dr. Subodh Deba Nath, former chairman of the Department of International Business, University of Dhaka, and Professors and lecturers of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management participated the event in person while academic representatives of the Department of International Business, University of Dhaka participated online.
