Digital Outlook Sri Lanka 2024 Launched

The launching event for Digital Outlook Sri Lanka 2024 brought promise and innovation to the digital landscape of Sri Lanka on 16th February 2024, at the Excel World Premier Colombo. This collaborative endeavor between the Department of Marketing Management at the University of Kelaniya and Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing (APIDM).

The Chief guest for the event was Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. The event also featured distinguished guests, Professor Bandara Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at the University of Kelaniya, Dr. Sugeeth Patabendige, Head of the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya, Mr. Amitha Amarasinghe, CEO/Co-Founder of APIDM, and Mr. Umair Wolid, President of the Digital Marketing Association of Sri Lanka.

A notable aspect was a panel discussion focusing on “Data-Driven Decision Making,” in line with the main theme set by Digital Outlook’s launch. The conversation was steered by Mr. Udara Dharmasena from Meta ASP with inputs from esteemed panelists including Professor Ravi Dissanayake from the Department of Marketing Management, known for his expertise in data-driven marketing and analytics, Mr. Vachintha Piyadasa from Nestlé Lanka recognized for his digital marketing acumen, and Mr. Dhanushka Abeyratne from MAS Holdings who shared insights on utilizing data for strategic business decisions.

The atmosphere during this event was lively, with engaging discussions among attendees who shared insights and best practices within a collaborative environment that championed innovation and informed decision-making in Sri Lanka’s digital sphere, marking a significant moment in its digital evolution journey.
