The Inauguration Ceremony of the Orientation Program of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies was held on the 26^th of February 2024 at the Sri Dharmaloka Hall of the University of Kelaniya and it will be continued till the 11^th of March 2024. The ceremony was organized to welcome new undergraduates for the academic year 2022/2023.

Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar, and Professor W. M. C. B. Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, and Dr. Kasun Fernando, Director of Student Affairs were key speakers who addressed new undergraduates.

The event was graced by Professor D. K. Y. Abeywardhana, Head of the Department of Accountancy, Dr. Priyadarshana Peiris, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, Dr. Ruwani Fernando, Head of the Department of Finance, Professor H. A. K. N. S. Surangi, Head of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, Dr. Sugeeth Patabendige, Head of the Department of Marketing Management, and Academic, Academic Supportive and Non-Academic Staff of the Faculty.
