The workshop on 'Conquering Challenges and Building Discipline,' hosted by the Department of Human Resource Management at the University of Kelaniya, in collaboration with the AHEAD Students' Association, was successfully held on the 14^th of October 2024, at the Sunil Shantha Memorial Auditorium, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya. 

The event focused on motivating students to overcome obstacles, maintain self-discipline, and excel in their respective fields, featuring Sri Lanka’s renowned international racing champion, Mr. Dilantha Malagamuwa.

Mr. Malagamuwa shared his incredible journey from the beginning, which was full of challenges, to become a global figure in motor sports, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, mental toughness, and sacrifices. Further, his motivational address highlighted how important it is to remain focused on our goals despite the challenges we may encounter.

The workshop was graced by the presence of Dr. Ruwani Fernando, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, and Dr. Saroja Wanigasekara, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, along with senior lecturers, lecturers, and undergraduates from the department.

This event offered a valuable opportunity for students to learn from one of Sri Lanka's most iconic sports figures, gaining crucial insights into overcoming personal and professional challenges.
