The “Senfin | UoK Stock Market Challenge 2025 – Inter-School Quiz Competition,” organized by the Students’ Association of Financial Management, Department of Commerce and Financial Management (DCFM), Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on June 06, 2025 at the Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya.

This flagship initiative aimed to promote financial literacy, capital market awareness, and critical thinking among school students. This year’s competition proudly welcomed over 200 students from 35 leading schools across the island, accompanied by their teacher coordinators.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Professor W. M. C. B. Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, whose inspirational address encouraged students to build financial discipline from a young age.

The competition consisted of several challenging rounds including a written preliminary, a dynamic buzzer round, and a live quiz finale, with assessments conducted by a professional judging and marking panel comprising senior lecturers and financial experts. The event also saw the active involvement of department lecturers and undergraduate volunteers, ensuring smooth execution.
