A felicitation ceremony, organized by the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, was successfully held on 10th September 2025 at the Staff Development Centre to honour Senior Professor Chamaru De Alwis, Professor in Human Resource Management.

Professor De Alwis was recognized by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD) as the Most Outstanding Senior Researcher in Management Studies, covering the fields of Business, Management, Commerce, and Decision Sciences, on 2^nd August 2025. This prestigious recognition stands as a testament to his exceptional scholarly contributions and his commitment to advancing research in the field of management studies in Sri Lanka and beyond.

The ceremony was graced by Professor Bandara Wanninayake, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, and faculty members, who gathered to celebrate this proud moment and to honor Professor De Alwis’s remarkable achievements. The faculty takes immense pride in this recognition, which adds great value and prestige to the University of Kelaniya.
