The FCT Career Fair '23, the first-ever Career Fair of the Faculty of Computing and Technology, University of Kelaniya organized by the Industry Interaction Cell for Computing and Technology was successfully held on 25^th of September 2023, at the FCT new building complex.

The event’s primary objective was to provide opportunities for both graduates and undergraduates to secure internship opportunities and employment opportunities.

The Career Fair attracted 35 prominent companies from the Engineering Technology and Information Technology sectors. Approximately 400 students from the Faculty of Computing and Technology and other university faculties had the opportunity to engage with company representatives, learn about these organizations, and participate in interviews for internships and full-time positions.

Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Lecturer Dr. Laalitha Liyanage, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Technology, Senior Lecturer Dr. Pradeep Samarasekere, Director of the IICfCT, Ryotaro Hayashi, a Social Sector Economist from ADB, Nalin Gunatunga, Deputy CEO of CBC Tech Solutions Ltd graced the inauguration ceremony and shared valuable perspectives on the importance of such events in shaping the future of tech professionals and fostering the university-industry linkages.
