The Faculty of Computing hosts an Industry Consultative Forum

An Industry Consultative Forum organized by the Industry Interaction Cell for Computing and Technology (IICfCT) at Faculty of Computing and Technology, University of Kelaniya was held on the 27th and 28th of July at Taj Samudura, Colombo.
The forum featured the insights of Dr. Chamli Pushpakumara, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Technology who shared his vision for the graduate competencies necessary to meet the evolving needs of the industry by the 2030. Dr. Pradeep Samarasekere, the Director of IICfCT also highlighted the importance of a synergistic approach between the industry and academia, which is crucial to effectively tackle the pressing issues confronting the nation at the moment.
Dr. Chamli Pushpakumara; Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Technology, Mr. Indika De Soysa; Strategic Adviser / Vice President - Huawei Technologies Lanka Co., (Pvt) Ltd, Vice Chairman - ICT skills council of Sri Lanka, Chairman - FITIS, Mr. Irshad Deen; Chief digital officer at Sri Lanka Telecom, Professor Ranjith Dissanayaka- Chairman, Green Building Council of Sri Lanka, Mr. Edga Melan; General Manager Engineering and sustainability-Teejay Lanka PLC, and Mr. Nalin Gunathunga; Deputy CEO, CBC Tech Solutions Ltd. were among the honourable guests who were present at the occasion.
More than 50 industry leaders and academic experts participated at this event.
