The FCT Career Fair 2024, organized by the Industry Interaction Cell for Computing and Technology of the Faculty of Computing and Technology of the University of Kelaniya, was held on the 26^th of July 2024, at the faculty premises.

The objective of this Career Fair was to bridge the gap between academia and industry by connecting undergraduates and graduates with leading companies, offering career opportunities, and facilitating on-the-spot interviews.

The event was filled with opportunities, networking, and valuable connections. A diverse lineup of 40 leading companies from the Engineering Technology and Information Technology sectors has joined the event this year. Students had the chance to engage directly with company representatives, learn about potential career paths, and participate in interviews. Building on the success of last year's event, this year's fair offered even greater opportunities for graduates and undergraduates to explore career options, secure internships, and discover employment opportunities.

The event was graced by the participation of Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, as the Chief Guest.

Present at the occasion were Professor Dhammika Weerasinghe, Deputy Project Director of the STHRD Project, Dr. Chamli Pushpakumara, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Technology of the University of Kelaniya, and Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, Registrar of the University of Kelaniya. Additionally, department heads, academic and non-academic staff members of the faculty, representatives from the Career Guidance Unit of the university, industry representatives, and undergraduates of the University of Kelaniya participated in the event.
