The Launch of ‘Pratīkṣā - 03’, Translated Short Story Volume

The launch of ‘Pratīkṣā - 03’, consisting of the short stories translated by the students of Translation Studies (Hons) and Translation Methods of the Department of Linguistics, University of Kelaniya, was held on the 26th January, 2021 at the Boardroom of the Faculty of Humanities.
This is the 16th short story volume published by the students of the Department of Linguistics. The volume consists of Sinhalese translations of 27 short stories written by French author Guy du Maupassant.
Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of University of Kelaniya participated as the chief guest of the event and Professor Emeritus R. M. W. Rajapakshe delivered the guest speech. Senior Lecturer Sudath Senarath, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Senior Lecturer Kumudu Nayanie Gamage, Head- Department of Linguistics, and the academic staff of the Department also participated. Students and their parents joined the event via Zoom
