The Inauguration Ceremony of the Diploma in Sinhala for Tamil Speakers (DSST – 2024) was held by the Department of Sinhala of the University of Kelaniya on the 29^th of September 2024, at the Auditorium of the Kotahena Sri Pragnakeerthi Memorial Hall (K14), University of Kelaniya.

Prof. H. A. A. Swarna Ihalagama, Head of the Department of Sinhala; Carder Chair and Senior Prof. Mallwa Arachchige Nimal Karunaratne; Dr. Anjalee Wickramasinghe; Senior Lecturer G. A. Madara Karunarathne; Lecturer Nipuna Heminda Basnayaka; Mr. Seelaratne Senarath, a Veteran Broadcaster; Mr. Nadaraja Udayakumar, Course Interpreter; and External Lecturers and Assistant Lectures participated in this occasion.

The inauguration ceremony of this course, which commenced with the participation of about 140 students, ended successfully.
