Two academic staff members of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Kelaniya were appreciated at the 323rd Humanities Faculty Board Meeting which was held on the 04th of October 2018.

Prof. Dilkushi Wettewe, Department of English Language Teaching was appreciated at the Faculty Board Meeting for being recognized and awarded the prestigious ‘Inspirational Woman of the Year’ WIM Award (gold category) for her exceptional leadership in the field of higher education. Moreover, Prof. Kamani Jayasekara, Department of Western Classical Culture and Christian Culture was also appreciated for being awarded with the ‘Godage Literary Award’ at the 20th Godage Literary Awards Ceremony for her excellent service in the field of English Literature.

The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities. Head of Departments, faculty board members and academic staff members of the Faculty of Humanities also graced the event.
