The Faculty of Humanities of University of Kelaniya held its 03^rd “Undergraduate Research Symposium 2019” on 19^th of December, 2019.

The inauguration of the symposium was held at Sri Dharmaloka hall and the sessions were held at K14 (Professor Kotahena Sri Pragnakeerthi Thero Memorial Hall). The prime objective of the research symposium to encourage novice undergraduate researchers to present their original research findings thereby inspiring them to engage in research in the respective areas of study.

Moreover, the Keynote speaker of the event was Prof. Saman Chandra Ranasinghe, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. 

Meanwhile, Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Prof. M.M. Gunathilake, Dean- Faculty of Social Sciences, Senior Lecturer Dr. P.N.D. Fernando, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. B.M. Jayawardhane, Dean- Faculty of Science, Prof. Ariyarathne Jayamaha, Dean- Faculty of Graduate Studies, Senior Prof. & Cadre Chair N.P. Sunil-Chandra, Chairman- Research Council, Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Dodamkumbure Dhammadassi thero, Director- ICCMS were the other honorary guests participated in the event. 

The academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities along with the undergraduates also took part in the occasion.
