The 16^th lecture of the lecture series on heritage studies organized by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 19^th of December, 2019 at the Auditorium, Department of Fine Arts, University of Kelaniya.

The lecture was held with the objective of enhancing the knowledge about heritage & musicology. Prof. Dr. Svanibor Pettan, Vice President- ICTM & Chair in Ethnomusicology, University of Ljubljana conducted the lecture on the theme: “From Music & Minority Studies to Applied Ethnomusicology.”

Senior Prof. Anura Manathunga, Director- Centre for Heritage Studies, Prof. Prashanthi Narangoda, Head- Department of Fine Arts, Senior Lecturer Tharupathi Munasinghe & academic staff members, invited scholars and undergraduates graced the event.
