Inaugural Ceremony of the Diploma in Pali and Buddhist Studies for Foreign Students was held on 13^th of February, 2020 at the Board Room of the Faculty of Humanities (K14-001), University of Kelaniya. The event was organized by the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies.

Keynote speech was given by Ven. Prof. Nabiriththankadawara Gnanarathana Thero.

Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Dean- Faculty of Humanities graced the event as the Chief Guest. Ven. Senior Prof. Tharele Dhammarathana Thero, Head- Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Senior Lecturer Ven. Dr. Dodamkumbure Dhammadassi thero, Director- ICCMS, Senior Prof. U. Garusinha, Coordinator- Diploma in Pali and Buddhist Studies for Foreign Students, foreign students who intend to follow the Diploma in Pali and Buddhist Studies and the invitees also took part in the event.
