A workshop on Internet of Things for school teachers organized by the Department of Industrial Management, Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya was held on the 04^th and 05^th of October 2018 at the department premises. The workshop was held with the objective of broadening the school teachers’ knowledge on complex areas of the subject units relevant to ‘Embedded Systems’ and ‘Internet of Things’ which are included in the A/L syllabus. The workshop aimed at the teachers of Information Technology of Sri Jayewardenepura Educational Zone.

Senior Lecturer Dr. Keerthi Wijayasiriwardhana and Lecturer Mr. Nirmala Liyanaarachchi, Department of Industrial Management were the resource persons of the workshop and Temporary Assistant Lecturer Mr. Heshan Anupama, Temporary Assistant Lecturer Mr. Buddhi Liyanapathirana, Technical Officer Mr. Nalin Jayawardhana, Technical Officer Ms. Ruwani Weerathunga provided the assistance.

Senior Lecturer Dr. Chathura Rajapaksha and the staff members of the Department of Industrial Management participated in the inauguration.

The event was a great success as it was based on both theoretical and practical activities.
