The certificate awarding ceremony of the National Police Academy Library Development Project was held on the 17^th of December 2021 at the Boardroom of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya has completed the National Police Academy Library Development Project in collaboration with the National Police Academy, Katana. The project started on 28^th September 2018. The department students engaged with the project under the coordination of Senior Lecturer Nadeeka Sanjeewani Rathnabahu.

Prof. M. M. Gunathilaka, Dean- Faculty of Social Sciences, Senior Prof. M. K. Weerasinghe, Head- Department of Library and Information Science, Ms. Namalee Herath, Assistant Superintendent of Police - National Police Academy, Katana, other staff members of the department, officers of the National Police Academy, and project members graced the event.
