The International Peace Day Celebration and Comprehensive Film Review organized by the Philosophy Association of the Department of Philosophy was held on the 20^th of September 2023 at the K14 Auditorium, University of Kelaniya.

The objective of the event was to celebrate "International Peace Day" and this year’s theme is “Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals”.

The chief guest of the event was Senior Lecturer Upul Jayantha Ranepura, Head of the Department of Drama, Cinema, and Television and he conducted the review of the film “The Bang Bang Club”.

The event was graced by the honorable participation of Professor. M. M. Gunatilake, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Academic Staff of the Department of Philosophy, and the invitees.
