The certificate awarding ceremony of the Diploma in GIS and Diploma in Disaster Management offered by the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Kelaniya was held on the 07^th of July 2019 at the auditorium of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The keynote address of the event was delivered by Prof. Lasantha Manawadu, Head- Department of Geography, University of Colombo.

Present at the occasion were Prof. A.H.M.H. Abayaratne, Dean- Faculty of Social Sciences, Senior Lecturer Dr. Nishan Sakalasooriya, Head- Department of Geography, academic staff members of the Department of Geography and diploma holders.
