The official website of University of Kelaniya won the gold awards as the best website and most popular website of Universities & Educational Institutions category.

The competition was organized by Bestweb.lk in 10^th intake. LK Domain Registry conducts BestWeb.lk competition annually since 2009 and this is the tenth time it is being conducted. Today, an organization needs an attractive and effective website as its front door. BestWeb.lk is a web-based competition providing an exclusive opportunity to promote and popularise web presence in Sri Lanka.

The competition focused on technical excellence, creativity, graphic design, user friendliness, web traffic, accessibility and content quality. The Silver medal was won by NSBM Green University & the Bronze medal was won by Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing.
