An MoU was signed between the University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka National Police Service on 23^rd of September 2020 at the Senate Room, University of Kelaniya.

The revised MoU was re-signed with the objective of commencing a new BA degree program in Police Science for the academic development of police officers.
