MoU Signed Between University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka Telecom

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka Telecom on 07th January, 2021 at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

The objective of the MoU is to strengthen the timely needed objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry. University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka Telecom have established a landmark partnership by signing this MoU between two parties. The partnership allows synergetic research collaborations on industrial projects. Further, it leads to share expertise, experiences, and knowledge towards the best outcome.

Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of University of Kelaniya, Senior Prof. Sudath R.D. Kalingamudali, Dean- Faculty of Science, Mr. M.I. Deen, Deputy Chief Digital Officer- Sri Lanka Telecom, Mr. Anil Pradeep Kumara, General Manager- Research and Development, Sri Lanka Telecom, Mr. Indika Upajeewa Wijetunga, Deputy General Manager- Digital Lab, Sri Lanka Telecom and Mr. Assajie Bandara, Engineer- Research and Development, Sri Lanka Telecom graced the event.

Immediate execution of this partnership expects SLT and academic staff members & research assistants at the Faculty of Science summon to initiate industrial projects. The projects are related to nationally important sectors such as Agriculture, Education, Governing Frameworks, Healthcare and Transportation.
