Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers in the University of Kelaniya was held on the 28^th of July 2021 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice- Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and members of the Senate graced the event.

Senior Lecturer Dr. Y.S. Wijesinghe, Department of Bio-Chemistry & Clinical Chemistry & Dr. G.P. Withanage- Research Assistant, Molecular Medicine Unit are awardees from Faculty of Medicine.  

Senior Prof. S.R.D. Kalingamudali- Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. L.B.D.R.P. Wijesundara, Senior Lecture Dr. A.L.A.K. Ranaweera, Mr. R.M.I.U. Rajapaksha- Research Assistant, Department of Physics & Electronics, Prof. N.A.K.P.J. Senevirathna, Prof. N. Jayathilaka, Senior Lecturer Dr. M.P. Deeyamulla, Senior Lecturer Dr. R.C.L. De Silva, Ms. W.A.N.M. Wariyapperuma- Research Assistant, Department of Chemistry, Prof. L.D. Amarasinghe, Department of Zoology & Environmental Science & Senior Lecturer Dr. R.N. Attanayake, Department of Plant & Molecular Biology are awardees from Faculty of Science.

Further, Senior Lecturer Dr. K.G.H.D. Weerasinghe, Department of Computer System Engineering, Faculty of Computing & Technology & Dr. C.C. Jayasundara, Librarian received the Senate Awards at the ceremony.
