National Taekwondo Championship 2021 organized by the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation was held from the 04^th – 07^th of November 2021 at the National Youth Center, Maharagama.

03 undergraduates and a staff member from the Department of Physical Education, University of Kelaniya won 01 Gold and 03 Bronze medals at the championship.

Ms. M. I. P. Kumari, Instructor- Physical Education won Gold Medal in Flyweight Category. Ms. Indumini P. A. Gunawardhana, Captain – Taekwondo (Women) won the Bronze Medal in Lightweight Category. She is a 04^th year undergraduate from the Faculty of Social Sciences. Ms. R. A. Irushani Madusha won the Bronze Medal in Welterweight Category. She is a 04^th year undergraduate from the Faculty of Humanities. Mr. K. M. Sameera Wijesinghe won the Bronze Medal in Heavyweight Category. He is a 03^rd year undergraduate from the Faculty of Science.
