In accordance with the safety guidelines, precautions, and protocols 122^nd General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was festively held on the 25^th of March 2022 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

This convocation consisted of 03 sessions. During the 01^st session, 239 graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree, 103 graduands of Bachelor of Business Management (General) Degree, and 160 graduands of Bachelor of Arts Degree were conferred.

During the 02^nd session, 400 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree were conferred and 239 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree, 93 of Bachelor of Business Management (General) Degree, and 66 of Bachelors of Science (General) Degree – Occupational Therapy were conferred the degrees during the 3^rd session.   

Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Aggamahapandit Most Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Maha Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Kithsiri Mewan Vihara,  Former Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Deans, Directors and Chairpersons of the Units and Centres, Heads of Departments, academic staff members, Librarian, Registrar, non-academic staff members, and parents were among the participants of this special ceremony.
