Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers in the University of Kelaniya was held on the 30th of March 2022 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. Menaka Hapugoda, Unit of Molecular Medicine, Prof. P. A. D. H. N. Gunathilaka, Department of Parasitology, Temporary Senior Lecturer Dr. A. C. T. Wijerathna, Department of Parasitology, Lecturer Dr. Lathika Athauda, Department of Public Health are awardees from Faculty of Medicine.

Senior Lecturer Dr. K. H. W. L. de Silva, Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Senior Lecturer Dr. F.S. B. Kafi, Department of Physics and Electronics, Research Assistant Ms. W. S. M. Botheju, Department of Chemistry, Temporary Demonstrator Ms. A. L. Savinda Heshani, Department of Zoology and Environmental Management are awardees from Faculty of Science.

Prof. Chamru de Alwis, Department of Human Resource Management, Senior Lecturer Dr. N. Janadari, Department of Human Resource Management, Lecturer (Probationary) Ms. G. R. Preena, Department of Human Resource Management, Senior Lecturer Dr. A. M. I. Lakshan, Department of Accountancy, Senior Lecturer Dr. W. M. H. N. Wijekoon, Department of Accountancy are awardees from Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Senior Lecturer Dr. S.A.P.M. Manuratne, Department of English is an awardee from Faculty of Humanities. Further,  Senior Assistant Librarian Dr. R. A. A. S. Ranaweera, Library is an awadee from Library.
