An event was organized to initiate the formation of the Gender Equity & Equality Society (GEES) of the Non-Academic Staff of the University of Kelaniya, at the Auditorium of the Staff Development Centre on the 08^th of June 2020.

The event was organized with the foremost objective of raising awareness about gender, in order to build a better, gender-sensitive work environment, by the Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Kelaniya.

Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, the Director of the Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Kelaniya conducted the event, while several members of the non-academic staff participated in this occasion.
