The 129^th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya was held ceremoniously on the 16^th of November 2022 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

The convocation ceremony consisted of 03 sessions. During the 01^st session, 90 graduands of the Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery Degree and 421 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree offered by the Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurveda Institute were conferred.

Furthermore, 508 graduands of the Bachelor of Arts Degree and 02 graduands of the Bachelor of Science Degree were conferred in the 02^nd session, while 514 graduands of the Bachelor of Business Management (General) Degree were conferred during the 3^rd session.   

Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, in accordance with the safety guidelines, precautions, and protocols, Aggamahapandit Most Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Maha Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Kithsiri Mewan Vihara,  Former Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, Cadre Chair & Senior Prof. Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Registrar, Deans, Directors, and Chairpersons of the Units and Centers, Heads of Departments, academic and non-academic staff members, Librarian and parents of the graduates were among the participants of this special ceremony.
