On the 11^th of January 2023, arrangements were made to proudly inaugurate the "Information Lounge for Emeritus Professors".

The lounge, located within the university library, is a dedicated space for our esteemed Emeritus Professors to access the latest research and information resources. The Center is a unique testament to the University's recognition and appreciation of the invaluable service and contribution of Emeritus Professors to the advancement of teaching and research in the University.

This new facility will provide Emeritus Professors with a comfortable and well-equipped space to continue their research, teaching, and learning and engage with the university community. This critical juncture will enable the vital role of our emeritus professors in shaping the teaching and learning function at the University of Kelaniya to be utilized more effectively.
