Two delegates from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Regional Office in New Delhi, India Dr. Katja Lasch (Regional Director) and Mr. Apoorv Mahendru (Deputy Director), called upon Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya on the 14th of March 2023 at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

The main aims of this visit were to enhance the collaboration between the University of Kelaniya, German Universities, and Research Institutes and to provide information on the latest DAAD-funded scholarships and research opportunities for academics and students.

Premawardhena, Director, Centre for International Affairs and DAAD alumna, DAAD Alumni Dr. Ishanka Karunarathne of the Department of Human Resources Management, Ms. Sarasi Kannangara of the Department of Modern Languages, and Ms. Sanduni Iddamalgoda, Coordinator - International Student Affairs.
