Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 21^st of June 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Mr. Hetti Arachchige Prabath Lakmal Perera of the Department of Accountancy became the awardee from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies while Professor P. A. D. H. N. Gunathilaka of the Department of Parasitology became the awardee from the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Rasika Prabodhini Wanigatunge of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Dr. B. G. N. Sewwandi of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Ms. H. E. Wijesooriya, Mr. L. D. P. S. Jayasekara, and Mr. T. N. Gurusinghe of the Department of Physics and Electronics, and Ms. Neleththi Malithi Thusharika De Silva and Ms. Maheshika Medhavi Vindya Senanayake of the Department of Statistics and Computer Science were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Dr. S. A. D. H. Namali Suraweera of the Department of Library and Information Science was the awardee from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
