The phase 4 evaluation of the University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell of the University of Kelaniya took place on the 8^th of June 2023 at the Senate room of the University of Kelaniya.

The event was conducted under the administration of the Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operations of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

On this occasion, all AHEAD grant winners from Results Area 3 presented their research outcomes. The phase 4 evaluation was conducted under the expertise and guidance of Mr. Prasanna S. Ekanayake, Attorney-at-Law from E W Associates and Mr. Sanjeewa Gunawardena, Executive Director of E B Creasy & CO PLC, Darley Butler & Co Ltd, and Laxapana Batteries PLC.

Present at the occasion were Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Professor Thusitha Abeytunga, the Lead Academic Expert in Research & Innovation of AHEAD Operations, Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka, the Registrar of the University of Kelaniya, Dr. M. Amila Thusha K. Munasinghe, Director of the OTS – University of Kelaniya, Dr. Pradeep Samarasekere, the Director of the UBL Cell, Deans of the faculties, and Heads of the Departments. Moreover, the AHEAD team, academic staff, research assistants, and commercial partners associated with the UBL Cell were also present at this event.
