Another Session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 26^th of July 2023 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Cadre Chair & Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the university. Moreover, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Professor K. K. Tilakasiri of the Department of Accountancy and Dr. R. A. I. C. Karunarathne and Ms. W. A. S. Weerakkody of the Department of Human Resources Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Dr. N. P. Dammika Padmakanthi of the Department of Economics was the awardee from the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Professor T. A. G. N. Chandrasena and Professor P. A. D. H. N. Gunathilaka of the Department of Parasitology and Dr. Dhammika Deepani Siriwardhana of the Department of Disability Studies were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.

Moreover, Professor R. A. S. P. Senanayake, Professor R. M. C. S. Rathnayake, Professor R. N. Attanayake, Dr. H. M. Herath, Dr. Rasika Pabodani Wanigatunge, and Professor Dinushani Anupama Daranagama of the Department of Plant and Molecular Biology, Professor G. A. S. Mangala Ganehiarachchi and Mr. R. A. Kasun Maduwantha Gunathilaka of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, Professor D. S. M. De Silva and Ms. G. K. U. P. Gajanayake of the Department of Chemistry, Prof. G. A. S. Mangala Ganehiarachchi and Mr. R. A. Kasun Maduwantha Gunathilaka of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management,  Dr. Shan Anjana Jayasinghe of the Department of Industrial Management, and Dr. A. M. C. H. Attanayake of the Department of Statistics and Computer Science were awarded from the Faculty of Science.
