Professor Barbara Pisker of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development, J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, Pozega, Croatia was on a visit to the University of Kelaniya on Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Mobility program from 22^nd to 28^th July 2023.

Professor Pisker was hosted by the Department of Sociology and the Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Kelaniya on the 24^th of July. Professor Geethani Amarathunga and Mr. Auchithya Rathnayaka coordinated the event on behalf of the Department of Sociology.

The event was held under the patronage of Professor Ubesekara Dissanayake, Head of the Department of Sociology. During this event, discussions were held with the staff of the Department of Sociology. Moreover, Professor Pisker conducted a lecture at the Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences while Dr. Anusha Edirisinghe, Director of the Centre for Gender Studies hosted Professor Pisker and organized a discussion with the members of the Steering Committee of the Centre.

Furthermore, Professor Pisker called upon the Vice-Chancellor on 25^th July 2023 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor and the mobility of Professor Pisker was coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs.

Present at the occasion were Senior Professor Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, Director of the Centre for International Affairs and Ms. Sashini Chandrasekara, Coordinator of International Cooperation.
