Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 22^nd of August 2024 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the Deans of the Faculties, Heads of the Departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. H. A. K. N. S. Surangi and Dr. K. G. M. Nanayakkara of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies and Ms. A. G. H. S. K. Wijerathna of the Department of Accountancy were the awardees from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Prof. D. S. M. De Silva, Prof. C. S. K. Rajapakse, Dr. R. C. L. De Silva and Dr. C. C. Kadigamuwa of the Department of Chemistry and Dr. Achini Koshila Ranasinghe of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.
