The World University Rankings 2025 have been announced with 2092 universities worldwide entering the rankings.

The University of Kelaniya has been ranked 1501+ in the international category and 3rd among the 6 ranked Sri Lankan universities. This recognition underscores the university’s dedication to academic excellence and commitment to fostering an environment of innovation and global engagement.  

We extend congratulations to our sister universities, Colombo, Peradeniya, Moratuwa, Sri Jayewardenepura and the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, that together with Kelaniya strive to contribute to the nation's presence on the global academic stage.
