Another session of presenting Senate Awards and Cash Prizes to appreciate the researchers at the University of Kelaniya was held on the 26^th of March 2025 at the Senate Room of the university.

Researchers whose papers were published in internationally recognized journals, were appreciated and the Senate Awards and Cash Prizes were awarded to the researchers by Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Vice-chancellor of the University of Kelaniya. Moreover, the deans of the faculties, heads of the departments, and members of the Senate graced the event.

Prof. W. M. C. Bandara Wanninayake from the Department of Marketing Management, Dr. Saroja Wanigasekara and Ms. M. D. R. Harshani from the Department of Human Resource Management, and Dr. N. L. E. Abeywardana from the Department of Commerce and Financial Management were the awardees from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies.

Prof. Madawa Chandratilake from the Department of Medical Education, Prof. Kavinda Dayasiri and Dr. Nuwani Harshamali Manamperi from the Department of Paediatrics, Dr. Lathika Athauda of the Department from Public Health, Dr. Dilesha Wadasinghe Liyanarathnage from the Department of Physiology, and Dr. K. W. S. M. Wijayawardhana from the Department of Anatomy were the awardees from the Faculty of Medicine.

Senior Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage, Prof. D. S. M. De Silva, and Prof. Suranga Wickramarachchi from the Department of Chemistry, Prof. G. A. S.M. Ganehiarachchi and Dr. Achini Koshila Ranasinghe from the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management, and Dr. W. G. C. Kumarage from the Department of Physics and Electronics were the awardees from the Faculty of Science.

Dr. Manjula Gunarathna from the Department of Social Statistics, and Mrs. G. B. Indrachapa Weerasinghe from the Department of Archaeology were the awardees from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
