The second session of Chinese Language Teacher Training Programme organized by the Confucius Institute of the University of Kelaniya was held on the 09th of November 2018 at the Confucius Institute of the university. The prime objectives of the programme were to provide an opportunity for the school teachers to solve issues faced by them regarding the curriculum and the teaching process and widen their understanding about the Chinese culture.

Ms. Tang Ying, Lecturer- Confucius Institute and Ms. Li JingJing- Lecturer Conducted the lecture on Chinese Culture while Mr. Li Xiao Tian- Lecturer and Ms. Liang Zheng Ping- Lecturer conducted the lecture on Chinese Opera and Dramas. Ms. Tang Ying- Lecturer also conducted a Thaiji Marshal Art training programme.

27 Chinese subject teachers participated in the second session of this programme and the teachers who participated in both the sessions received certificates at the end.

Senior Lecturer Dr. Kumari Jayasooriya, Sri Lankan Director- Confucius Institute and Prof. Wang Wanxia, Chinese Director- Confucius Institute including the academic staff members of the Confucius Institute graced the event.
