Discussion between the University of Kelaniya and  Nihon Fukushi University, Japan: A delegation led by the Vice President Mr. Masaki Saito of the Nihon Fukushi University,

Tokai-shi, Aichi-ken, Japan called upon the Vice Chancellor Prof. D.M. Semasinghe at the Office of the Vice Chancellor on 16th January 2019. Deputy Director, Centre for Japanese Language Education Assistant Prof. Kirstie Sobue from the Faculty of International Welfare Development and General Manager of Tokai Campus Administrative Division Mr. Satoru Nakamura comprised the delegation.

 Present at the occasion were Dean, Faculty of Humanities Prof. Patrick Ratnayake, Director, International Affairs Prof. Neelakshi C. Premawardhena, and Coordinator for International Cooperation Ms Sashini Chandrasekara. Discussions were held on collaboration with internship programme for Japanese Studies with the Deparrtment of Modern Languages. The team later met the Head, Department of Modern Languages Dr. Dilrukshi Rathnayake to discuss on developing the internship programme on Japanese education. The visit was coordinated by the Centre for International Affairs.
