University of Kelaniya – Sri Lanka has become the third best university in Sri Lanka in terms of Transparency ranking which considered the virtual profiles/impacts of the Research output of a university in 2019.

The top 5 of the world ranks are secured by Harvard University, Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and University of California San Diego respectively.
