Colours Awards 2017/2018 - University of Kelaniya

Colours Awards 2017/2018 jointly organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Council, with the objective of appreciating sports performances of the undergraduates during the academic year was held on the 24th of January, 2020 at Sri Dharmaloka Hall, University of Kelaniya.
200 sportsmen and 145 sportswomen received University Colours for 22 sports disciplines.
The event was held under the patronage of Senior Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, Vice Chairperson- University Grants Commission & Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice- Chancellor, University of Kelaniya. Mr. Dilantha Malagamuwa, international racing driver graced the event as the Guest of Honour.
Ms. Hashini Lokuge awarded as Best Fresher Sportswoman and Best Sportswoman of the Year. Mr. J D Karunarathne awarded as Best Fresher Sportsman of the Year & Mr. Y Pramedha Mendis awarded as Best Sportsman of the Year.
Fifteen graduates those who obtained first class honors and university colours received special awards to recognize their academic and sports excellence.
