DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (Disciplines: - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Statistics)

Note: Candidates with the following specializations will be given a higher priority

(Computer Systems, Operating Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Networks, Cryptography, Embedded Systems, Automation, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Mobile/Distributed Computing, IoT)

Qualifications

Temporary Senior Lecturer:

• Candidates who are applying for the above post should possess the academic qualifications required for Temporary Lecturer

AND

• A Doctoral Degree in a relevant discipline with a specialization in a relevant subject

Or

A Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a specialization in a relevant subject with full-time research of at least 24 months duration

AND

• At least six (6) years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Teaching at University Level,
• Professional experiences
• Research in a recognized Institution,
• Postgraduate Studies to acquire the qualifications stipulated at (2) above.

 

Temporary Lecturer:

• A Degree with specialization in a relevant subject with First or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours;

OR

• A Degree with specialization in a relevant subject with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours;

OR

• (a) A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject without Honours or any other Degree   

      with at least Second Class Honours;

And

(b)  A Doctoral Degree in a relevant subject

Or

(c)   A Master degree in the relevant subject obtained after a full-time course of study of at least 24 months duration (or equivalent part-time course of study) with a research component by way of thesis/dissertation.

Or

(d)  A full-time Master Degree in a relevant subject of a minimum of 18 months duration with at least 60 credits of which not less than 15 credits of research by way of thesis/dissertation.

     

Temporary Demonstrator:

An Honours Degree with specialization in the relevant subject  

(A person awaiting results could also apply)

Or

A graduate with First or Second Class, with the relevant subject

 

Temporary Senior Lecturer                            - Rs. 76,275/- p.m.

Temporary Lecturer                                        - Rs. 49,860/- p.m.

Temporary Demonstrator / Tutor                   - Rs. 40,920/- p.m.

Appointees will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund, contributing 10% of their monthly salary and the University will contribute 15% to the University Provident Fund and 3% of the monthly salary to the Employees Trust Fund respectively.
