The AI Aptitude Accelerator Workshop was successfully held on 27th October 2025 at the Auditorium of the Career Guidance Unit, University of Kelaniya. The event was organized by the Career Guidance Unit, University of Kelaniya in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and the LEO Club of University of Kelaniya.

The workshop aimed to equip undergraduates with the latest AI tools and digital skills essential to boost productivity, innovate responsibly, and stay ahead in today’s tech-driven world. Participants gained valuable insights into how AI is transforming industries and how to apply AI competencies across diverse career paths from technology to business.

The session was conducted by two distinguished speakers: Mr. Saad Mazhar, AI Trainer, and Mr. Kasun Tharaka, Senior Manager (Capacity Building) at ICTA. Their engaging presentations combined both theoretical and practical dimensions of Artificial Intelligence (AI), offering participants a hands-on learning experience that highlighted the real-world applications of AI in professional contexts.

The workshop was attended by 55 undergraduates. Additionally, the event witnessed the presence of Mr. K. A. M. Viraj Abeysinghe and Mrs. R. P. A. Minoon Perera, Career Counsellors of the University of Kelaniya.
